If you're tired of trying to teach your child how to read, watching him or her cry each time you practice together because it is too hard and confusing, then this will be the most important letter you'll ever read. Click Here To Grab Your Copy

Today, he is a very successful kindergarten student with report cards that nearly shock every parent. His name is Frankie, and soon he will be graduating into first grade in a few short months. I am amazed that even though he is still in kindergarten, he is already reading at the 2nd grade level and has received several awards at school for his reading and spelling achievements.

Not even a two-letter word. He was just entering kindergarten, and since his passion has always been skateboarding (since he was 3), he spent the entire summer before school, learning new tricks at the skate park and playing with his friends.

Going into his first day of school, he knew the letters of the alphabet fairly well, and I had no reason to believe he would have any trouble learning how to read.

Unfortunately, none of it came naturally to him. And he absolutely had a tough time. He did not just "pick it up" nor could he sound words out correctly. He started to feel ashamed of himself because other kids in his class were able to complete the same tasks that he had trouble with and they also progressed at a much faster pace.

I found myself spending a lot of extra time with him after school, day after day, showing him words and teaching him to sound words out correctly. But, no matter how hard he tried, and how hard I taught him, it was all very confusing to him. Sometimes I would get really frustrated which made him feel sad and cry because he wasn't able to keep up with the rest of the class. He would dread doing homework and became miserable whenever it was time to practice his reading.

I was about to throw my hands up but then one afternoon, almost by accident, I found an old dusty notebook in the garage while I was cleaning. It was a notebook back from my days in graduate school which I was studying education, cognitive development and psychology.

When I opened the notebook, I started reading frantically and a light bulb went off in my head. I was so excited that I ran back to the kitchen and immediately began writing and putting together lessons that would help Frankie learn better and more efficiently.

Ultimately, I created a system that gradually added more building blocks in an easy-to-follow format for reading success.
