Regardless of designs, electric cigarettes have the similar components, including a rechargeable battery, a heating element and a mouthpiece. The components have been described as follows: 1. Battery - Most electric cigarettes have a lithium ion battery that is rechargeable. It is responsible for powering the heating element. Battery life differs and depends on the battery size and type, rate of use and environment of operation. The battery is usually the largest part of an electronic cigarette. 2. Heating element - This serves to vaporize the liquid stored in the mouthpiece and makes it easy to inhale. This section is also known as an atomizer. They last for about 3 to 6 months and can be easily replaced.
3. Mouthpiece - This is a small, plastic cup-like portion that is attached to the end of a tube. Inside this, there is a smaller plastic cup that stores an absorbent substance soaked with a flavored fluid solution. The inner cup is designed as such that air can easily flow around it. This facilitates the suction ability of a cigarette. The mouthpiece is often referred to as a cartridge in the industry. the liquid solution in the cartridge can be refilled.
