Shopping for furniture is not easy, you need to prepare early and lay the groundwork. I and Erica decided to go with all new furniture as we didn't want stuff that was used up by others. We also wanted brand new stuff for the apartment that we can take with usif we were to move in to a house in the near future. You need to start furniture shopping at least a month ahead, it is best to put together things online.
If you are living in the US some good furniture shops include www.mybobs.com and www.biglots.com and if they are not located in your area they also do shipping. Furniture shopping can be and is expensive so you need to put together a budget. You also need to organize furniture shopping into sections such as living room, bed room, dining room etc. You do not need to buy all of thefurniture at the same time; buy as you go is the way to go! When buying living room furniture be sure to keep in mind that sectionals are the way to go as they are cheaper than sofa sets and even looks better.
Depending on your taste you can go with cherry wood bed frames and end tables for the bed room set. Dining room furniture is best with glass table tops as they are easier to clean. We wanted to wait till we paint the apartment first before getting any furniture so that it matches the scenery. Our set moving date is July 14th and we are doing as much as we can to prepare for a smooth transition.
