HAARP (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Project) is called an ionospheric research instrument found in Gakona, Alaska. It is "a large array of antennae on the ground geaming a billion watss of electromagnetic power -- at radio frequencies -- up through the atmosphere" according to a flyer shared in the early days of HAARP's awareness (Begich (1995) p. 54).
Nick Begich wrote, "HAARP will zap the upper atmosphere with a focused and steerable electromagnetic beam. It is an advanced model of an 'ionospheric heater'" and is to "control ionospheric processes so that they can be exploited by the Department of Defense," according to author Nick Begich. He has written his "Angels Don't Play This HAARP" (1995) out of concern for our environment and the effects of ionospheric experimentation on our earth's climate and environments. He believes that "HAARP has been misrepresented by both the military/contractors and by its opponents."
The University of Alaska, he says, "is directly involved in HAARP funding." Some might say that UoA is a cover for the Department of Defense's experimentation, but the University's geophysical department and it's "auroral research" program benefits by this partnership.
Wikipedia has a page listing deadly earthquakes since 1900. Especially hard hit have been China, Afghanistan, Iran and India. The 1906 San Francisco earthquake is listed as resulting in 700 deaths by one source and 2,000 by another.
It would be interesting to see a study of geopolitical changes superimposed on a graph of earthquakes, hurricanes and other "natural disasters." This would be interesting to learn if there are corollaries between political uprisings, elections or other geopolitical events occurring around the same time natural disasters were being reported in those areas. We might be able to find a link between the usage of weather modification weapons coinciding with devastation among world populations.
Our country could become involved in making the world a better place and take this on to represent the good will of our democracy wanting to protect, preserve and treat world populations more fairly and humanely. This seems natural to people of goodwill instead of money-making reasons for geopolitical powers through war creating powers that have usually left out the American mainstream populace's vote whether to go to war or not. If this were the case with weather weapons used we might find the resources and goodness to help other countries and repair the damages this would have caused.
Making the amends of the U.S. populations could help start a brand, new way among our countries populace and see the results of trust among the nation-building that goes on today. Better yet, we'd have to get rid of our national security intelligence agencies and start afresh, abiding by a new nation-building strategy of human rights first among the corporate leaders and their supporting government representatives.
Building better relationships among the people of the earth seems like a natural, human direction, instead of world domination power struggle among the nations.
