Introduction toMen's Rights
We are always hearing about women's rights and very few people don't know what women's rights are, but what we rarely hear about are men's rights. Men and boys do face a wide range of issues and even discrimination today but due to societies protective attitude towards females and the myth that males are "privileged" we almost never hear about them. So what are men's rights then?
Some areas of men's rights are:
Criminal Sentencing - Male and female commit same crime for some reasons the male will most likely receive a harsher sentence then the female will, a University of Georgia study confirms this. Average sentences by gender: Female - 18.51 months, Male - 51.52 months.
False Rape - Contrary to popular belief false rape allegations are anything but rare in the US. According to a study by Eugene Kanin 41% of rape allegationswere false over a 9 year period in a small metropolitan community. Remember the Duke Lacrosse case? Luckily that casedidn't end withsomeone's life destroyed (or ended).

(the two girls were never charged for their crime)
Boy Crisis - For years now boys have been lagging behind girls in virtually every subject with the exception of science and today they represent only 42% of college attendance (a gap that is growing) and a host of other issues. Even with these statistics girls still receive priority in school, the WEEA (Women's Educational Equity Act) still to this day receives funding, there is a three inch federal catalog dedicated to girls education designed to get them more engaged in school and off to college, the pro girleducational reform that Christina Hoff Sommers documents in her book "The War Against Boys" has been disastrous for boys in school and the government has done a good job of ignoring it.
Title IX -Forces colleges to have"proportionality" when it comes to athletics,which means thatif you have 58% female attendance in college(which is the national average) then 58% ofall athleteshave tobe female,but since males are more interested in participating in sports this leads tomore athletes that aremale,which in turnleads tomany colleges dropping men'steams to support the quota. Title IXdoes havea three prong wayof compliance, but the safest and easiest way is todecrease the number of men participating in sportsall in the name ofgender "equality".
Other areas of men's rights concern are gender based laws (VAWA), domestic violence policies, family court, men's health (10national offices for women's health),conscription, sexual assault laws and much more.
In addition to all of this, menalsorepresent 80-99% of homeless adults, combat deaths, suicide, workplace deaths, are the majority of dropouts and special education students, die years younger then females and have higher death rates for the top ten leading causes of death.
