In other Gervais news, he is currently starring in a new film called Cemetery Junction, which NME.com describes as "a warm, affectionate, sweet-natured, and a genuinely uplifting coming-of-age drama set in the 1970s." It may seem completely out of character for the witty, wise-cracking Gervais, but NME also has a good description of what you can expect from the movie; "Cemetery Junction becomes a drama, looking forward, with the laughs sprinkled on top. It's The Office in reverse."
Gervais is also collaborating with Merchant on a new television series, giving an interview to the Telegraph saying, "[Merchant and I are] writing a sitcom together, written and directed by us and it's called Life's Too Short and it features Warwick Davis. It's a cross between Extras and Curb Your Enthusiasm and One Foot in the Grave but with a dwarf. That is out and out funny."
