Relationship Mistakes Are You Scaring Him Off?

Do you know how to avoid relationship mistakes? Are you wondering why your dating life never seems to take off? Do you tend to blame the men? As hard as it might be to accept, you might consider some relationship mistakes that you could be making.

One major mistake is to come across as too clingy. It's ok to show him some affection and attention. However, if you're smothering him with gifts, attention, texts, and calls, you're going to appear possessive and clingy. Men are afraid of being trapped and pressured.

Take an honest look at your behavior with your new guy. When things are new, you don't need to know where he is at every moment. You don't need to tell him every detail of your day. He doesn't need constant gifts, favors, or hugs, either.

Another one of the big relationship mistakes is to lose your independence and your confidence. We all have our insecurities. However, extreme self-consciousness can be a turn-off. Don't constantly seek reassurance from him, in or out of bed.

Try to remember that he does find you attractive. If he didn't, he wouldn't be with you. It's no fun to be with someone that needs constant reassurance and babying, so try not to let your insecurities come between you.

Finally, it might be a big mistake to use the "L" word too soon. There is something to be said for fearlessly expressing your feelings. But those three little words are powerful, and it could be a good idea to wait.

There are exceptions to every rule. However, it is usually best to let him be the first to tell you he loves you. Men are used to women who want to rush into relationships, marriage, and kids.

He will feel uncomfortable, and possibly trapped, if you use the "L" word before he feels ready. So, at the very least, be careful with this one.

If you don't have a good track record with men, part of the blame might lie with them. Or, you might just not have found the right guy yet. But, you also should ask yourself if you're at fault in any way. You will need to avoid the major relationship mistakes if you want to give the next one a chance.
