There are some good contenders for this year's game of the year award, Final Fantasy XIII, Halo Reach, Dead Rising 2 and Bioshock 2 are high on many people's list and we are only put half way through the year. So can Red Dead Redemption beat them to first spot?
Red Dead Redemption is a third person shooter/action/adventure which was both released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The main story line is set in the year is 1911, you play a man called John Marston who is experiencing somewhat of a resurrection.Many Years ago, a gang of outlaws he affiliated with left him for dead after a robbery that went wrong, het he survived and started a new life as a farmer and raised a family. Unfortunately his past lived on and he is back to hunt down his old friends so he can finally put an end to his past.
So is itRed Dead Redemption or just 'Grand Theft Horse'? Well it has all the charateristics of a Rockstar game It has the classic mission struture that you might find in other Rockstar games but this is horses not cars! While the game word is not overly massive, it is big enough and let's face it who wants to be a 5 to 10 minutes ride away, this is not World of Warcraft! Much development time has been spent with some of the more details of the graphics and Rockstar have managed to capture the essence of the Wild Wild West. All we need now is Will Smith and some other friends and a cheesy theme.
