Riding Motorcycle and What You Must Do to Make It Safe

In some countries, motorcycles become the main vehicle for all citizens. Each family sometimes has more than one motorcycle, even more than two. Riding a motorcycle requires more safety, as it is not "weatherproof", and theft can easily happen.

Unlike in the United States, Japan, or any other big countries, motorcycles are more popular than any other kinds of vehicles in some developing countries. This fact is mostly supported by lack of public transportation, so people tend to go somewhere with their own vehicles.

You can see this condition in some countries in Asia, such as Indonesia. This country has a huge number of populations with high criminal rate. Motorcycle theft becomes daily issue. The solutions for this are actually simple if the riders are more careful.

When you ride your motorcycle alone, you better keep your belongings in a safe place, such as under the jog. Do not bring your bag away with you as it can invite thieves. It is just very easy for them to pull it. You can also do a trick by covering it with plastic bag, so it does not look like a bag. This trick is also good to apply in a raining day, as plastic will keep all your belongings dry.

Then, do not put your cellular phones in your pants. Another extremely restricted thing is talking on cellular phone while riding! It is not only a matter for your own safety, but your cellular phone will be clearly seen by thieves. Cellular phone theft is also an issue as it often happens on road. A phoning motorcycle rider is just the next victim for theft.

Your safety is actually depends on yourself. We never know what will happen next, so it is good to take prevention. Just remember, that your beloved persons are waiting for you at home.
