The Exposed Social Networking Site for Naturists

They call themselves naturists (though others tag them nudist) and speak of liberty and spirituality. For them, by going fully naked is just a natural way of nature. We often see them walking along the shores in Europe particularly in France and in Spain. Often, they have this social nude party and they are following strict rules about their activities of course to avoid any provocative incidents that would somehow include sexual assaults. They often take the figures of Adam and Eve as a source of inspiration of their cause. And of course, they have gain ample numbers of followers around the globe mainly in the western and liberal countries.

Remarkably, the ever increasing following of the movement has brought the concept out of beaches and real public places and transferred it to a more populated place of interaction the internet. We have been occupied with many social networking sites that cater to different focuses of the society already and we also have mixed insights about them. Facebook for one has become one of the controversial networking giants over the internet and the main thrown issue to this company is privacy. While twitter enjoys the patronage of the celebrities, politicians, and other personalities, these networking sites are for everybody. Not to mention the Dalai Lama's following in Twitter and Hugo Chavez's first twit or the Prime Minister's personal reply to a twit-query by a non-japanese citizen. These are just the main factors that moved the netizen nudist to bring their cause online.

Accordingly we see the birth of Skinbook. Contrary to Facebook or MySpace Skinbook accepts only naturalists or nudists who would want to have online interactions with other nudists. In their sign-up page applicant are asked of the number of years they have been a nudist or a naturalist. There is no specific question about what type of nudist an applicant is. Relationship status is also a requirement together with the personal description and the people who the applicant would want to meet. Though a nudist networking site, pornographic materials particularly pictures are not allowed to be uploaded as profile pictures. Skinbook only accepts whole body pictures of the applicant with clothes, workwear apparel, uniform, or costumes on. Cartooned avatars are as well accepted and zoomed facial parts. Of course, in animate objects like trees and other things are not allowed and pictures that has focus below the torso, nude or dressed.

Skinbook's security is quite stricter unlike Facebook. Comments are being moderated and no vulgar words and sleazy remarks on members' pictures are allowed. Makers of the website are also on the move to prevent voyeurs and sexual stalkers to be part of the network.

Whatever the objective of the makers, Skinbook is rather a new generation device of naturalists. One particular application of the site that might be best for members is that certain meeting scheduler which can be used by members to set dates of meeting at a certain place whether according to nudists' way of social meeting or just the conventional. One thing the site primarily prides of is safety and security just the two things one would be thinking considering the site as a naturalist friendly one.
