subject: Driving On Pandora [print this page] The Earth was a dying world, there was no hope there and almost all its resources were depleted. The RDA ships crowded the air base on Pandora. Science is amazing; this amazing body called the avatar, so much stronger than the human body, had so much feeling in it. Every year in the Pandorian festival, Jake would narrate how the humans wearing the masks declared war for unobtanium in this little moon. The humans only cared about money he would say.
Life in this body was better than a fantasy. I was one of the scientists that worked with Dr. Grace on the avatar project and after the war I was left to die. It was Jake who helped me get into this new body. The tree of souls permanently shifted me into this new body just like it did Jake. I had a lot in common with Jake; I was a soldier before becoming a scientist. In the army I served as a lorry driver. I can still remember the lorry driver training I had when I joined the army. It was a great experience. The lorries we had in the army were like ships and had so many features.
The lorry training was also an extensive procedure. The Earth wasnt simply a desert that you could simply drive in. After the major nuclear explosion, it was deformed. The bomb used was a cobalt bomb that Russia claimed could destroy 7 Earths at once. By some grace, part of the human population was able to survive underground. Human nature is never to learn, they always want to destroy.
The training I had was called a class 2 training, which meant heavy lorries with laser weapons. I became one of the best drivers. Now all those things are distant memories. Ive found new life on Pandora. Being this close to the nature and feeling all this lovely things surrounding me. I can wish for no more. Its nothing Ive accomplished but its a gift of nature. My future is not bleak anymore. There is so much hope in this beautiful world. I know Im not alone.
