The top-of-the-line Titanium variant is loaded with all the necessary bells-n-whistles complete with a Bluetooth Audio MP3 USB CD player, Driver and passenger Airbags, fog lamps, keyless entry, alloy wheels, comfy beige interiors, electric mirrors, etc. The lower variants dont get the additional active safety features like ABS, EBD and Airbags. Fog lamps too arent standard on all variants.
That said, you still get Fords bulletproof build and sublime ride and handling characteristics. The extremely capable chassis of the Classic is what renders this car with class-leading handling and with a 1.4 litre TDCi unit on board it is even more fun. The 8-valve SOHC diesel generates 68PS @4000 rpm and peak torque of 160Nm @ 2000 rpm.
Bolted to the engine is slick 5-speed manual transmission with ratios that have been optimised for both city driving as well as sporty, high-speed runs on the expressway. The low-end grunt of the diesel engine results in better fuel efficiency. The Ford Classic diesel sets the fuel economy benchmark at just under 18 kmpl or 17.8 kmpl to be accurate. The Distance to Empty readout on the instrument cluster is yet another important feature on the car.
The Ford Classic diesel is available in six colours ranging from solid Panther Black to Moon Dust Silver, Sea Grey among the metallic options. As far as accessories for the Fiesta Classic are concerned, buyers can spice their Classic up with sporty pedals, a boot spoiler, GPS Navigation system etc.
