Drug use, extramarital sex, pornography, violence, and on and on. What can we do? Is there anything we can do? Some of us do believe there is something we can do. So, what is it?
If My people, who are called by My name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:14
Call Upon The Lord:
Do you trust that we can believe God and take Him at His word? The Scriptures say to call upon God in our day of trouble and He will rescue us. (Psalm 50:15) So, try it! Call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders unfold. The passage in 2 Chronicles above gives us, as Christians, ownership of this land and the capability to call upon God to heal it. This is what I challenge you to do. We have never needed for God to heal our land more than right now.
One of the advisors to Winston Churchill during WWII organized a group of people who at a predetermined hour every night, stopped what they were doing for one minute and together they would pray for the safety of England, its people and peace. This had an astounding effect, as bombing stopped.
Will you do this for America?
The United States of America, and our citizens, needs prayer more than ever! So, how will this work? Every evening at 9:00 PM EST stop whatever you're doing. Then take one minute to pray. Repent of your sin. Pray for the safety of the United States, our troops, and our citizens. Pray for any upcoming elections, that godly leaders will be elected whom God can bless. We need men and women to be elected who faithfully serve Jesus and put Him above all things in their lives. Pray that the Bible will remain the basis for the laws governing our land.
We Need Revival:
Most importantly, pray that revival will spread across the U.S. as the Church learns to walk in intimacy with God. Laws and governments are one thing, but if the culture of America is to change, the people of America need to change and turn to God in humility and repentance knowing that God is a God a love who longs to forgive and cover us with saving grace through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. And He wants to pour out his blessings on His people and this land.
So, please take the time to pray with us. If you cannot pray at the exact above time, obviously that is no issue. Just set aside one minute anytime to pray for our nation.
