subject: What Are The Entertainment Options In Boston, Manchester, And Hartford? [print this page] Moving to a different place is difficult but it also gives you an opportunity to explore a new city and discover what it has to offer.
Boston
Boston Symphony Orchestra
The legendary Boston Symphony Orchestras ambitious programs are matched with near-perfect acoustics. The Orchestra performs in the magnificent Symphony Hall from September to April and all performances run to packed houses. During summer time, the Orchestra goes back to Tanglewood in Western Massachusetts. The Symphony Hall is beautifully designed, which goes back to 1861 when a Harvard physicist tried to make the building acoustically perfect. Needless to say he succeeded.
House of Blues
Originally, its location was in Harvard Square, but it became an Irish pub later on. However, in 2009, the House of Blues reopened in Lansdowne Street in a bigger and better venue. The interior is designed to accommodate two levels. The reunited J Geils Band, BB King, George Clinton, George Thorogood, the Gypsy Kings and the Dropkick Murphys have already performed here!
