At AAA AUGER Emergency Plumbing in Dallas TX we know that many of our customers like taking things into their own hands, but we noticed that not everyone knows which tools to use for each job. We decided to give our customers a quick and easy guide to the tools that we use on almost every job.

Adjustable locking pliers - These adjustable jaw pliers are used to clamp onto objects. This tool, better known as a Vise grip, is especially handy when you have a bolt or fitting that isnt coming loose.

Adjustable Wrench - This wrench has one adjustable jaw and one fixed jaw, the part of the wrench that clamps onto things. This ensures that the tool fits a number of different-sized nuts and bolts. This tool is also called a crescent wrench, due to the shape of the jaw.

Brush (acid or flux) - This tool is used to apply paste flux to pipes before soldering. Even though this tool may seem similar to a paint brush, these brushes are specially made to be able to withstand chemicals that would wear down a basic paint brush.

Brush (fitting or tube cleaning) - This tool cleans copper pipes and fittings in preparation for soldering. We always suggest proper cleaning before doing any work; it ensures that your materials fit together nicely and the bond is strong enough to last for years to come.

Hand Auger - Besides being our namesake, the auger tool is key to cleaning out drains and ridding plumbing systems of clogs. Also known as a "snake", the tool features a flexible coil that is pushed down a drain to loosen anything that has accumulated. To aid in this process, theres also a crank handle for really tough clogs and curvy pipes.

If you have any problems that even these tools cant fix, call AAA AUGER Emergency Plumbing in Dallas TX or any of our other locations for no extra charge and at any time. Stay tuned to our website for more on our series of plumbing tool definitions!
