This one is something different to some of the other resorts. The first thing to recognise is that it is both a commune and a town. Skiing

If you like more demanding skiing, a local bus will take you just a few minutes away to the lifts that will take you to the higher altitude Avoriaz resort (also in the same commune) where youll find more demanding runs. Both centres are part of whats called the Portes du Soleil a vast area covering resorts in France and Switzerland. There are dozens of black runs in this wide area and you can go into Switzerland on some runs. These resorts also cater well for boarding and other related snow sports you wont be stuck for things to do on snow.
Lively or pas?
This resort is typically regarded as having a good and lively nightlife with plenty of venues to choose from. Its perhaps not riotous, if thats what youre looking for, but youll find good music, food and late night dancing. Theres also a cinema where youll find both French and foreign language films, if you find youre getting bored with all the eating, drinking and dancing.
All in all, you'll find that your transfer from Geneva to Morzine drops you at a charming town and one where youll have a great holiday winter or summer.
