Salman is once again playing the highly lovable character of Chulbul Pandey in the film and he is accompanied by none other than his leading lady in Dabangg, Sonakshi Sinha.
Riding high on the humungous success of his last release Ek Tha Tiger, Salman is ready to set the cash registers ringing like never before as he plans to end the year at the top. Dabangg 2 is, incidentally, Salmans second release of the year 2012. His last film, Ek Tha Tiger, not only broke almost all the previous records at the box-office but also went on to become the second highest grossing film of Bollywood, ever, behind only 3 Idiots.
Salman Khan must be thanking his stars from the day Dabangg released in 2010. Since then his horoscope has not seen a single glitch in the last 2 years. Today, everything that Sallu baba touches turns into gold. And if the science of astrology is to be believed, his stars are not going to dim in anytime soon.
Dabangg 2 is set at the backdrop of a city, unlike its predecessor, where Chulbul Pandey is shown mixing with the elite while retaining his original charm of a village simpleton. The film marks the directorial debut of Arbaaz Khan and features the same old winning combination of Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey, Sonakshi Sinha as Rajjo, Vinod Khanna as Prajapati Pandey and Arbaaz Khan as Makhanchan Pandey. However, the bad guy in the movie, Chhedi Singh, played by Sonu Sood, could not join the remaining cast due to date issues and he has been replaced by Prakash Raj.
Whats more, the fact that the films item song Fevicol Se, featuring the glam diva Kareena Kapoor, is already topping the musical charts, the film has everything going for itself already, prior to its release on 21 December, 2012. And if Salmans recent fortune at the box-office is anything to go by (his last release Ek Tha Tiger amassed in excess of 300 crores), Dabangg 2 is going to be yet another mega blockbuster from the stable of Salman Khan!
Moreover, as per numerology, the ruling planet of number 2 (Sonakshis ruling number) is Moon whereas the ruling planet of number 9 (Salmans ruling number) is Mars. And the fact that Mars is a friendly planet to Moon, the association of 2 and 9 are quite favourable and fruitful. So, even the numerology calculator suggests that the pairing of Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in Dabangg 2 should work magic on the audiences, yet again.
