As such Australia has made it quite difficult for people to immigrate to it unless one is being sponsored by a company and/or has a skill set that a particular state is looking for. Generally speaking the country is almost always looking for healthcare professionals and tradesmen.
It is amazing to think that when Australia was first settled by the Europeans that it was a place where prisoners were sent, and generally of course people didnt want to go there. However those things have all changed and now it is a not only a major tourist draw, but also many hundreds of thousands of people try and move there each year.
