Things to do on Saint Lucia honeymoons

Snorkel at Anse Chastanet Beach: Anse Chastanet is situated in the heart of the island's marine reserves and surrounded by coral reefs, making it a wonderful spot for snorkelling. The Anse Chastanet reef starts just ten yards beyond the water's edge and its extraordinary ecosystem offers an abundance of unique tropical marine life in the clear, calm and shallow water. The reef is home to over 150 different species of fish in all shapes, sizes and colours. Budding snorkellers should purchase a disposable underwater camera at any of the surrounding gift shops to ensure that their memories of the breathtaking Anse Chastanet beach never fade.

Visit Soufrieres Volcano and Sulphur Springs: Advertised as the worlds only drive-in volcano, the volcano outside Soufriere is actually dormant luckily! However, the rocks in the area still contain steaming sulphur springs bubbling up from underground. For a romantic activity on Saint Lucia honeymoons, couples can visit the Sulphur Springs and indulge in a mud bath together! This basically consists of rubbing the fine grey mud on their skin and then rinsing it off in the warm waters of the waterfall.

Nature loving couples will certainly be impressed by the islands local flora at the Botanical Gardens and can enjoy seeing unusual and unique plants like the red dreadlocks, the walking tree, the shrimp plant and the macaroni and cheese plant. The gardens also include mineral baths, which were originally built in 1784 to for the troops of King Louis XVI of France to bathe in. There is also a lovely waterfall to cool off in.
