Saint Lucia Honeymoons One Size Does Not Fit All

No two newlywed couples are alike and therefore no two honeymoons should be either. Saint Lucia honeymoons cater to lovebirds that are proud to be beach bums, those that know they are adventure seekers, and also couples that love sightseeing. The beauty is, those who want to partake in only one or in a little of all three can have all of their desires fulfilled while on their most romantic holiday in St Lucia.

A Romantic Activity for Adventurous Newlyweds

Climb Gros Piton: Some couples may be perfectly content to simply gaze at the stunning Piton peaks, while others may want to up the ante and climb up the World Heritage Site of Piton. Gros Piton is a volcanic mountain approximately 2,600 feet high, and the climb itself is about four miles up and four miles down. The trek takes anywhere from three to five hours in total. The terrain is rocky and uneven, however, when you finally reach the top, the majestic views will make the somewhat strenuous climb one hundred per cent worthwhile. Partaking in adventurous activities together enables couples to make memories that they will forever cherish from their time spent in Saint Lucia. Honeymoons on the tropical island are the ideal time for newlyweds to see countrys breathtaking nature in its finest form.

A Passionate Sightseeing Experience

Explore Balenbouche Estate: When visiting the former 19th century sugar plantation, Balenbouche Estate, couples will feel as though they have travelled back in time. The plantation is spread over 80 acres, with surrounding lush tropical gardens and historic ruins of the old sugar mills that hint at its past. Newlyweds can join a guided tour and walk along the trail that leads to the sugar mill where tour guides tell the audience how sugar is processed. Visitors also learn about the early Caribs and Arawaks who roamed the land. If the desire to be alone with your new husband or wife hits, simply sneak away to the secluded beach just beyond the estate. Saint Lucia honeymoons are, after all, designed to be romantic and the island has endless opportunities for lovebirds to enjoy each others company.

Breathtaking Beaches

One of the best parts for beach bunnies on Saint Lucia honeymoons is that the beaches on the island are all public and there are a lot to choose from!

The secluded stretches of white sand beaches on the west coast near Marigot Bay are known for having calm waters and stunning scenery. This quiet side of the island is facing the Caribbean rather than the Atlantic and has stunning turquoise water.

The island also has gorgeous black sand beaches, which is very rare. The volcanic past has caused some of the sand that lines the islands shores to turn black. In certain areas, such as Anse Couchon, white sand accompanies the black sand and exquisite wave patterns are formed.

St Lucia is such a diverse island that it certainly has something for everyone. The island oozes romance from the peak of its highest mountains to the depth of its deepest oceans. It is certainly a wonderful place for newly married couples to enjoy their first holiday as man and wife.
