St Lucia Honeymoons Endless Romantic Activities

St Lucia honeymoons provide newlyweds with the opportunity to begin their wedded bliss by soaking up the islands legendary sunshine and hospitality. This geographic gem is situated in the heart of the Caribbean, with awe-inspiring mountains and breathtakingly beautiful beaches. The island sits in the middle of the Windward chain and its topography is more varied than some of the smaller islands surrounding it, but is perhaps less travelled than islands similar in size. There are many different activities that newlyweds can engage in, no matter what their tastes. Romance is in the air all over the island and it is no wonder it is one of the world's most sought after destinations for a romantic holiday.

Romantic Activities

Twin peaks: The iconic Twin Peaks, also referred to as the Pitons, are situated on the western side of the island, and visiting is a must for couples on their St Lucia honeymoons. The journey to get to them is in itself highly romantic and it's easy to rent a car and meander along the winding mountain roads. Along the way, the stunning views of the gorgeous countryside will assure newlyweds they have chosen one of the most idyllic honeymoon locations in the world.

Soar through the rainforest: While this activity may not sound romantic at first, couples on St Lucia honeymoons looking to experience a bit of a thrill while they are on the island will certainly enjoy it! After being outfitted with special harnesses, visitors glide high above the rainforest from platform to platform on cables referred to as ziplines that stretch from 80 to more than 400 feet. While the activity may be a little scary, it is a true bonding experience that couples will always remember.

Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens: Newlyweds visiting the island should certainly take the time to visit Diamond Falls. There, couples will feel as though they have stepped into a peaceful retreat, far away from the outside world. Beautiful waterfalls, hot mineral springs and flora and fauna will certainly add to the romance. Canoodling couples can take advantage of the mineral baths and bathe together in what was originally built in 1784 for the French troops of King Louis XVI.

As well as enjoying a bath together, couples can cool off under the magnificent Diamond Water Fall together. Arguably one of the most colourful waterfalls in the Caribbean, it is about 17 metres in height and is a mixture of rainwater and water fed by the sulphur springs.

St Lucia honeymoons can provide a unique natural backdrop for newlyweds' romantic holidays as well as offering a huge variety of activities to partake in.
