The Worldhotel Ripa Roma offers a top quality experience complete with all of the indulgence and extra special touches that will make your holiday a memorable one.

Like many of the other luxury hotels, it is conveniently located in the heart of Rome and close to all of the major attractions, of which there are many.

The Classics of Rome

One of the most prestigious characters to have left his distinct mark on the art world of the city is Michelangelo. Apart from the incredible display of ceiling frescos in The Sistine Chapel there are many other fine examples of his work housed in the city. The Capitoline Museum is one of the worlds oldest art galleries and here you can indulge in the artistic talents of Titan, Bernini and Caravaggio. The classical art scene of the city is expansive and other galleries held in high regard are The Borghese Gallery and Palazzo Barberini Galleria Nazionale dAtre Antica - both are worth a visit and both are easily accessible from The Worldhotel Ripa Roma.

The Vatican

The Vatican is home to the Sistine Chapel and the famous St Peters Basilica. The frescoes here are mesmerising and it is difficult not to be stunned by their sheer magnificence. St Peters Square is also a prominent place; if you time it right you can join the Pope and his throng of worshippers who congregate here once a week.

The Coliseum

Another of the classical monuments of Rome is the Coliseum, which was originally the largest elliptical amphitheatre in the Roman Empire. It is an incredible architectural feat that has stood for over 2000 years. It displays extremely innovative engineering features and is quite rightly regarded as one of the most triumphant projects of its day. Originally a site for gladiatorial contests, re-enactments and other less favourable activities, the Coliseum subsequently became a building used for housing, workshops and religious ceremonies. Still, today, every Good Friday the Pope leads a torch-lit procession holding the cross that begins at the Coliseum.

The Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain, around a 30-40 minute comfortable walk from The Worldhotel Ripa Roma is one of the most famous fountains in the world. It is discreetly tucked away from the main streets but its beauty gives it away and thousands frequent the fountain every year. The exquisite details are its main draw and if you pick your time right you may be able to miss the crowds and relish a rare quiet moment at this stunning work of art.
