subject: 5 Reviews For Honda Crosstour [print this page]

The Honda Crosstour is essentially a tall wagon version of the Accord sedan that features increased ride height and available all-wheel drive (AWD), a combination that delivers more utility and more all-weather capability.

Current Honda Crosstour:

The Honda Crosstour comes in two trim levels -- EX and EX-L. The EX comes with automatic headlights, a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, power front seats, a rearview camera, Bluetooth and a seven-speaker audio system with a six-CD changer and an iPod/USB audio interface. The EX-L adds bigger wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, driver memory settings and premium audio. The one option for the Crosstour is a navigation system (with voice activation and back-up camera), which is only available on the EX-L.

The Honda Crosstour offers a choice of two engines -- a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 192 horsepower or a 3.5-liter V6 with 271 hp. Both are matched to a five-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel drive is available on the EX-L V6. In performance testing, a front-wheel-drive Crosstour V6 went from zero to 60 mph in a class-competitive 7.5 seconds. Despite the Crosstour's elevated center of gravity and extra 300 pounds compared to the Accord sedan, it is still pleasant to drive, with predictable steering and composed handling. The Crosstour's cabin is actually quieter over the road than the sedan's, a welcome upgrade.

Here are some excellent reviews for Honda Crosstour:

1. Edmunds

"The quest to offer a little of everything keeps the Crosstour from doing anything really well"

2. Motor Trend

"What we are sure of is this is one delightful car to drive, as well as a lot more useful than the Accord sedan."

3. The Car Connection

The 2012 Honda Crosstour pitches itself as more functional than the four-door Accord, and more stylish than a wagon might be, but in the end, isn't that much more spacious or attractive.

4. Cars.com

In the 2012 Crosstour, Honda attempts to blend the qualities of a car with those of an SUV. What it created is a practical, comfortable wagon that still falls short of SUV versatility.

5. KBB

If you like the ride and handling provided by the Accord Sedan, but your versatile cargo needs exceed that of a traditional trunk, the 2012 Crosstour Wagon makes an excellent choice.
