subject: Brief Description On Reflex Sights & Night Vision Rifle Scope [print this page]

A rifle scope is a piece of equipment that magnifies the target to appear larger than it will with the naked eye. There are many different varieties of rifle scopes and pistol scopes that are used nowadays. On this post, I will discuss reflex sights and night vision rifle scope in brief descriptions to give you information about the scopes and their specific usage.

Reflex Sight It is an optical device that illuminates and projects the aiming point by emitting a reticule image or set of circle images on the target, thereby allowing you to take the best shot. Reflex sight is a non-magnifying device used in various guns. Individual can use both eyes to aim and make the perfect shot. It doesnt hinder the individuals ability and target judgment. Rifle sights are commercially available in three forms: open sights, full tube sights and small tube sights.

Open sight is a light weight piece of equipment without filters and accessory options, which is also known as mini reflex sights or mini red dots. This device holds the base and a reflective surface to collimate the reticle mounted on it. Full tube sights are assembled with cylindrical tube and optical glass to form a telescope sights. This may contain filters and accessories, which can be replaced as per your requirements. Small tube sights are equipped with adjustable filters and sunshade attachments.

Night Vision Rifle Scope It is an optical scope used in total darkness to find and lighten the target. Night vision rifle scopes have removed the limitation of night hunting and allowed the night hunters to find the movements of their target in the dark. This night optical scope is available in various price ranges based on the different parameters as per each hunters custom requirements; like distance, type of target, and other features.

For long range hunters, you will need to have a higher magnification level than that of a night vision scope. For close up shot, a low level magnification is sufficient. You must take important factors such as magnification and illumination, while deciding what type of night vision rifle scope you wish to purchase. Red and green sighting system accuracy, push button feature for better execution, fog and water resistance, removable infrared illuminators etc are some of the features that can vary the pricing of night vision rifle scope.
