subject: The Iphone 5 Letdown [print this page]

The reasons are below, what really happened, and why.

Early signs of an overhyped event

Photoshopped fake cases "discovered" by a "source who has provided credible details in the past"

The iPhone Nano model being developed, as well as a bigger-screen model; one site even took the Goldilocks approach, with three sizes predicted

ronically, of all the rumors, the only ones that proved true were the obvious: the use of the A5 chip, Sprint becoming an iPhone seller, and the "world phone" capability. Of the three technical innovations, only two leaked: the use of the Siri assistant technology a week ago and the 8-megapixel camera in early September.

This time, the mania got nuclear, if such a metaphor can exist. And during the iPhone 4S reveal

The sad thing is that the iPhone 4S is actually a nice upgrade to a great product -- but so many people have lost of sight of that given the impossible expectations that had been set for so long. Let's see if we can do better for the real iPhone 5

The above reasons have already made the iphone 5, or, the, 4s, an unsuccessful scenario with Apple. It is a classic case of when you would say, too much of a good thing and that is because there isnt a place where its not being talked about and most of what was being said, wasnt worth being said and maybe it wasnt to be in the first place. Too much of a good thing was the ultimate reason as to why the latest offering from Apple was ruined even way before it managed to capture hearts and souls just the way it was with the 4th iphone. There was a lot going for it and just when it was about to be put to its paces, that too by the public which was more than just fantasizing, it was actually released, unlike the iphone 5, or 4, or the 4s
