Delhi, officially the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT) that includes the Indian capital New Delhi, is the second most populous metropolis in India, after Mumbai. Hyderabad was ruled by Nizams and British. There are many museums, bazaars, galleries giving a testimony about the glorious past. The city of Hyderabad is connected rail, road and airways.

One can travel by road from Delhi to Hyderabad by resorting to a break up journey. The journey can be divided in to five parts. One has to travel from Delhi- Agra (NH 2), Agra - Gwalior (NH3), Gwalior - Jhansi (NH 75), Jhansi- Lalitpur - Sagar- Lakhnadon (NH 26), Lakhnadon -Nagpur - Hyderabad (NH 7). It takes about 25 hours (at a stretch) to travel from Delhi to Hyderabad. One covers 7 states starting from Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. The route has gas stations with rest rooms like HP petrol pump, Bharat Petroleum, Reliance Petroleum. There are restaurants and dhabas like the Reliance A1 Plaza, Indian Cafe and McDonalds Food Outlet. There are cab or taxi services from Delhi to Hyderabad charging Rs. 22 to Rs. 90 per km.

One can travel from Delhi to Hyderabad by train. Trains like Andhra Pradesh Express, Dakshin Express and Bangalore Rajdhani run from Delhi to Hyderabad. Both the cities have good train facilities providing a comfortable journey to travellers. There are good canteen facilities in the trains. The travel takes approximately 25 hours. One can also book the tickets in advance from IRCTC portal or from the reservation counters.

The fastest way of reaching Hyderabad from Delhi is by flight. Jet Airways, JetLite, IndiGo, Spice Jet, Air India offers direct flights from Delhi to Hyderabad. The travel takes about 2 hours to reach Hyderabad from Delhi.

There are bus services from Delhi to Hyderabad. One can choose from Volvo buses to Non AC buses. The bus services are provided by both Government and private bus owners.
