Delhi, the capital city of India is located in North India on the banks of River Yamuna. It is one of the fastest growing metropolises with a beautiful blend of modernization and well preserved history. Ghaziabad is a fast emerging industrial city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This planned city is the headquarters of Ghaziabad district. It is home to a number of industries that manufacture railway coaches, diesel engines, bicycles, glassware, pottery etc. The number of malls and multiplexes, good roads and other infrastructure come up in the recent past suggests the citys prosperity and progressiveness. The city is worth a visit during festivals like Ram Navami, Dussera, Diwali, Baishaki and Muharram. Its proximity to the national capital Delhi also makes Ghaziabad an important city.

Delhi is well linked to Ghaziabad which is its satellite city via roadways and railways. Air travel to Ghaziabad is not possible as it does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport is in Delhi itself.

A number of passenger as well as express trains depart daily from Delhi, New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations to Ghaziabad. Some of them are Ghaziabad Delhi New Delhi EMU (64422

One can also travel from Delhi to Ghaziabad in the metro trains. There are two stations in Ghaziabad, namely Kaushambi and Vaishali which have integrated traffic management system and parking bays for autos, buses, cars and rickshaws.

There are regular bus services ferrying passengers to and from Ghaziabad. Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) have frequent bus services from Delhi to Ghaziabad. The distance between the two cities is nearly 30 kilometres. It can be easily covered in half an hour to forty five minutes which depends on traffic conditions. One can also hire taxis from Delhi to Ghaziabad. The round trip travel fare would be approximately Rs. 2000. The fare greatly depends on the type of cab chosen like economy, budget or luxury cars. It is very much advisable to drive along from Delhi to Ghaziabad, if owning a vehicle as it will be more convenient and cheaper.
