subject: Paranormal Encounters [print this page] Paranormal activities, experiences and encounters have always been engaging to many people. There are no coherent explications to this phenomenon. A man named Arnold Mathew claimed to have his paranormal encounter when he was 19 years old. In 1959, he visited Alnwick in Northumberland to meet a friend. He waited on a bus station at around 2:00 pm while the weather was unfriendly the snow was thick. As he was standing at the bus station, he saw an elderly lady standing to his right wearing long black dress with shawl around her shoulder. Her hair was fixed and she has a very thin, deep and tired face, and sunken eyes.
The lady talked to her and commented about the bad weather. The lady then asked Mathew if she could have a pair of socks. Mathew then recognized that the lady's feet were bare. He held his socks and the lady put it on her feet and thanked him. Just a few seconds, the lady suddenly vanished. Mathew was frightened but at the same time happy for what he did to the less fortunate lady. Rumors suggest that the lady had died in the spot where Mathew saw her. Mathew was not the only person whom the lady asked for a pair of socks. Mathew, however, said that the lady during the encounter looked real and solid like a living human being.
On the other hand, a man named Andy Hinkinson-Hodnett claimed to have encountered a Cut-Out Man when he was 25 years old. He worked at first as a laborer in Dayton, Tennessee and was allocated to a water plant, where water from Tennessee River is sucked in for rehabilitation, due to some medical problems. There were no nearby residence in the plant and it was very lonesome when working on the graveyard shift. He worked from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am alone and sometimes with his little Dog named Rastus.
One night, he went to work at exactly 11:00 pm and started the water filters, checked all the chemicals and other essential processes for water rehabilitation. He sat on a chair behind a desk and read a magazine. As he was reading the magazine and the time reached 3:00 am, he heard a banging sound on the tiled floor and just after a few minutes, he heard the banging sound again as if something hard has fallen. After noticing something paranormal he kept reading the book and by that time, he knew that he was not alone anymore. He knew that there is someone at the basement but he neglected the fear and rather wait for something to happen. He was facing at the window while reading the box when a black apparition emerged floating towards him for about 6in 12in from the ground. As the black apparition went closer, he could clearly see that the apparition has arms, legs, hands, and head with no face. It looked very solid but not.
When both of them were facing to each other, the apparition just suddenly vanished. Andy was very scared and frightened after he saw the ghostly apparition. He went home immediately and tried to ignore and forget what he just saw.
