It is nice to plan bar/bat mitzvah for your young kids. There are few rituals and customs that need to be done and with some planning one can make the whole day full of fun and entertainment. First of all find out the place to organize this event. There are many spaces in New York City which specializes in organizing such parties.

Bar/bat mitzvah can be helpful for the non-Jewish and would like to support to plan this religious celebration. Bar mitzvah is a perfect channel for a Jewish boy at the age of 13. Till the age of 13 his parents were responsible for his Jewish faith, but after this ceremony it is the young mans responsibility to stick to the traditional beliefs and principles of their faith. This is done when the child participates in all the fields of Jewish faith. Well people also have some misconception about this ceremony that it changes the young man in to an adult but it is actually a religious right ceremony.

Bat mitzvah is a religious ceremony that engages young lady of 12 years. The ceremony is normally the same for both the genders, but with possible differences. The ceremony differs with different denominations of Judaism religion. For instance maximum number of Jewish orthodox Jews refuse the idea that woman can also read the torah, in front of the public.

Most New York bar/bat mitzvah celebrations are well planned and performed with a Jewish belief and tradition. Both young lady and young gentleman are involved in the celebration and are given the rights to read the torah or the haftarah part at a shabbet or some other service. It also involves giving dvar torah which may include a discussion of that week torah part. Apart from all these rituals bar/bat mitzvah should also be entertaining for the guests.
