Indore is one of the fastest growing commercial centers of the state of Madhya Pradesh in central India. The distance between Indore and Bhopal is 188 km. Indore and Bhopal are well connected by means of road, rail and airways.

However, the best way to reach Bhopal from Indore is by air. You can board a direct flight from the Indore Airport and arrive at the Raja Bhoja Airport in Bhopal in 30 minutes. Many airlines like Jetlite, Kingfisher and Air India have regular daily flights from Indore to Bhopal.

The NH 3 that comes all the way from Mumbai connects Indore to Bhopal. It takes a little more than 3 hours to cover the distance by road. The NH 3 is one of the major highways in India and it passes through a few towns like Dewas, before terminating in Bhopal. The roads are well laid and smooth and if is taking your own car, there are numerous fuel stations and rest stop facilities with clean wash rooms all along the way.

One can also hire a taxi from Indore to Bhopal and back. It will cost around Rs. 12 to Rs. 20 per kilometre depending on the car.

Buses are also available on the route from Indore to Bhopal. State transport buses take around 4 hours to cover this distance. Private operators are also available and seats can be booked from various portals online. Buses charge around Rs. 200 onwards if AC. For ordinary buses the charge is around Rs. 75 onwards.

The best and convenient way of travelling from Indore to Bhopal is by train. Numerous express trains that are available from Mumbai pass through Indore and Bhopal. The trains take around 4 hours to complete the journey.

Trains from the Indore Junction Railway Station arrive in Bhopal at either Bhopal Jn or Habibganj.
