There are literally hundreds of bars in Patong centred mainly around the world famous Bangla Road if you enjoy an afternoon cold beer or you can unwind for a couple of hours in one of the many day spa centres and massage shops. Some are therapeutic many are erotic. Its best to establish what service you are looking for before you enter into a massage centre and make it clear with the masseuse before the massage commences. There is no doubt however that the large pink building that houses Christin Massage on Rat-U-thid Road, is a full service, body-to-body sliding massage that has to be experienced one time while on your Phuket vacation.Read for more patong hotels.

Couples are welcome in this establishment also. If retail therapy is high on your agender, then head to the Jungceylon Shopping Mall at the top end of Bangla Road. The Mall in Patong features a cinema complex, restaurants, numerous bars, the Absolute Ceylon Pub that has many pool tables and plasma screens showing sporting events, as well as over 300 retail shops with the top level dedicated to electronics. If you are serious about your shopping, then a half day trip out to Phuket Premium Outlet and Central Festival Shopping Centre are well worth the effort.

Tours out of Patong are many. The main tours include a day trip to Maya Bay where the Leonardo Di Caprio move 'The Beach' was filmed. These tours include a stopover at Phi Phi Island that has now fully recovered from the tsunami in 2004. Other popular tours include James Bond Island where the James Bond movie 'The Man With The Golden Gun' was filmed. World class golf, diving in the Similan Islands, Phuket FantaSea Show or just simply jumping on a scooter and exploring Phukets Beaches are other things to do in Phuket. Karon, Kata, Surin and Kamala Beach should be visited on any trip to Phuket Island. Also a must visit is the Big Buddah which is the highest point of Phuket providing spectacular views of the island. If you do decide to go up to the Big Buddah, either employ a taxi for a few hours for approx 800 baht or get a very detailed map as it can be difficult to find the road up to the Buddah if going alone.Read for more patong hotels.
