subject: Buying New Born Baby Clothing Is So Hard To Resist [print this page] You will probably be familiar with the antics of a certain fictional character that is addicted to shopping and you may have found yourself wondering how on earth anyone can be so foolish. These were my thoughts until I started to buy new born baby clothes for a niece of mine. Since then I have to admit that it has been hard to resist going past a shop which sells new born baby clothing without buying something.
If you have not yet had the opportunity to buy new born clothes or even clothes for older babies, then you cannot understand the lure that this occupation has. Newborn baby boy clothes are cute too, but I find that when it comes to baby clothing, buying for a girl is so much more fun. Let the parents worry about buying the essentials such as nappies and bottles and all the other paraphernalia which accompanies the arrival of a new baby. For the other relatives such as aunties and grandparents, the fun starts in the clothing section of a baby shop.
The first thing I ever bought for my niece was a bib with a lovely caption on it and from then I was hooked. Now I cannot seem to stop buying anything that I think is pretty and I can see how this habit is only going to cost me more and more money in the future. At the moment it is a case of buying things such as cute little vests and dresses. Later on I know that these will turn into items of clothing with designer labels and all the gadgets and gizmos which children want these days.
For now I am enjoying buying romper suits and frilly knickers to wear under dresses which are so pretty and which she seems to be outgrowing at an alarming rate! There is just so much choice available, starting with the basics such as baby grows and nightgowns. One of the cutest things I ever bought her was a tiny white night gown which had a drawstring at the bottom that you pulled to make it into a sleeping bag to keep the tiny feet warm at night. Then you have jeans, cardigans, long and short sleeve tops, sleeveless summer dresses, fur lined winter jackets, party dresses and matching capes, snow suits and denim jackets. One child may not need all of these but I feel as though she would look lovely in them.
At the beginning it was just new born baby clothing but then this soon turned in to a desire to buy baby shoes, which have to be one of the cutest and most useless items around. From this I progressed to hair bands and other accessories and now that she is walking, I have to buy her the nicest bags, shoes and princess tiaras which she loves. It is so easy to spend a lot of money on buying baby clothes but I think that it is worth it.
