subject: Blackberry 10 Is There For App Developers To Explore [print this page] During the World BlackBerry symposium 2012 being held in Orlando, RIM showed what will be the new operating system that governs their new BlackBerry devices. The new system, known as BlackBerry 10, is based on QNX and only time will tell if Canadians are able to offer a system that will attract users and to be able to cope with iOS and Android.
RIM has finally put on table its expected development unit for BB10. The terminal, which now goes into the hands of eager developers attending the BlackBerry World 2012, offers a 4.2-inch screen (1280 x 768), which seems to have good color saturation and Optimal viewing angles. Obviously we know that it is a device purely for experiments, not at any time it will be a model that will be marketed in the future, but still good work of this panel suggests that the real version will, at least be with similar qualities.
Apparently at the launch of BlackBerry 10, which was led by the new CEO, Thorsten Heins, the new development of RIM has great improvements over its predecessors, such as support for improved data management or keyboard screen (the suggestions are used by gestures).
BlackBerry developers can learn the new features and capabilities of the new operating system. RIM has already made available a development toolkit of the new operating system for the developers community. The tool kit has two different components:
BlackBerry Native SDK Cascades 10: Its the native development option which lets you get the most of the resources and performance of the devices. Use C / C + + or Qt.
BlackBerry WebWorks SDK 10: Its for developments based on HTML5.
We must highlight various aspects of the new kit. First, it is developed with these new tools and will also be compatible with the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Moreover, until the new devices see the light, there will still be resources available to developers, as the camera and others. RIM wants to highlight the ease with which we can port applications from other platforms to BlackBerry 10.
Finally, accompanying the new operating system, Canadians have also shown what will be the new terminal development, alpha dev BlackBerry 10. Although it has not yet arrived in market, it does not hurt you to know the specifications to get an idea of the intentions of RIM regarding their future terminals:
4.2-inch screen with high resolution: 1280 x 768 pixels. Higher than what we have in the new Android terminal
