The food and civil supplies department will be conducting a week long state level drive against adulterators of food and milk-based products, Shudh k liye Yuddh (War for purity), starting October 22.
Warning adulterators of strict action, minister for food and civil supplies Babulal nagar said, If anyone is found guilty. We will immediately cancel their lincenses. Provisions have been made in new food safety rules that those found guilty will be fined Rs. 10 Lakhs and will also face life imprisonment.
These decisions were taken at the state-level committee meeting that look place on Monday. The campaign will be managed by the state food and civil supplies department, which will act as the nodal agency and it will be supported by the department of agriculture, home, medical and health and local self government departments.
