Of course, if you don't mind wearing last year's fashion, then this may not be a problem for you, but there is a way that you can take advantage of these cheaper prices and not look like you were unable to afford this year's hot new trends.
The first thing that you can do is to choose to go "classical". If you buy something timeless, then it won't matter too much if the fashion this year happens to be a floral print with a fringe, you will already be decked out in a style that you know others will understand, and probably feel that they should have stuck with themselves.
Also, if you do buy something that isn't "classical" you can add accessories, or even a new stylish top to change the look of it. This is a great way for you to individualize a stylish swimsuit that others will still be wearing, and give it a unique take that will transcend the boundaries of the two seasons.
If you aren't a great follower of the mass marketed designs anyway, then why not check out some of the sales being held for up and coming designers? Because many of these designs are so new and unique, very few people will know if it's from this season's, last season's, or even the designer's collection from five years ago. As an innovator you are bringing something new to the beach, and this can have its own rewards.
Last (but certainly not least) is the fact that many shops will have sales at various times of the year, and if you're heading off on vacation to a part of the world where the seasons are overlapping with your own, then something that may be on sale for you, may just be appearing in the shops in the location that you'll be visiting.
Sales are a great thing for replenishing your wardrobe, and by buying the right things, at the right time, you'll know for certain that the next swimwear sale you visit will be keeping you up with the trends, and not having you fall behind for the want of saving a few dollars.
