If your child is suffering from school problems then nothing unusual is happening to him. Its common and it happens mostly with children within age group of 10 to 15 years. These are the times of growing into a teen phase and if simple problems when not taken care of it can grow into major one"s later.

early signs:

Lowering of grades

Lack in participation at extracurricular activities

Lag behind in class for class work

Not completing home work

Slow to eat in lunch time

Discomfort when asked about school

Bunking school

Making excuses for going to school

Low in confidence

Takes pleasure in bullying or scared of being bullied

Children between age group of 8 to 15 are quite at risk of picking up such problems. There is a shift of hormonal growth during this period which already brings lot of changes in them physically. Already coping up with these changes, going through adaptation at social level, children feel a sense of insecurity. This increases the chances of having poor self esteem, learning difficulties and reduced sense of belonging, even dropping out in many cases.

Several factors also contribute for picking up such problems. They are

1.At personal level such as mental and physical,

2.At family level such as parenting and support

3.At school level such as comparison or dislike from teachers.

Whether you choose a school at Harvard or private schools of Victoria, be a conscious parent and take responsibility to check through these factors and stop these problems before they become intense. With such attitude you would be successful in giving them a bright future.
