This article is about subtracting numbers with exponents,otherwise known as the difference of the two numbers. When subtracting a number from higher number to lower number, the numbers contain powers which is said to be subtracting number with exponent. When subtracting numbers we use the sign as minus.

5'xx' 3^2-4'xx' 3^2.

Here the exponents should be mentioned in powers, simplifying the powers and multiplying with the numbers.

Problem (i) 6'xx' 4^2 -5'xx' 4^2.

Solution:

Subtracting a number with exponents, the exponent is 4^2.

= 6'xx' 4^2 -5'xx' 4^2

= 6'xx' 16-5'xx' 16 here 4^2 is 16 multiply with the function

= 96 80. here 6into 16 is 96 and 5 into 16 is 80.

= 96-80

16 is the answer for subtracting a numbers with exponents of 6*4^2 -5*4^2.

Problem (ii) 7'xx' 3^2 -5'xx' 3^2.

Solution:

Subtracting a number with exponents, the exponent is 3^2.

= 7'xx' 3^2 -5'xx' 3^2.

= 6'xx' 9-5'xx' 9 here 3^2 is 9 multiply with the function

= 54 45. here 6 into 9 is 45 and 5 into 9 is 45.

= 54-45

= 9 is the answer for subtracting a numbers with exponents of 7'xx' 3^2 -5'xx' 3^2.

Problem (ii) 8'xx' 2^2 -6'xx' 2^2.

Solution:

Subtracting a number with exponents, the exponent is 2^2.

=8'xx' 2^2 -6'xx' 2^2.

=6'xx' 4 - 5'xx' 4 here 2^2 is 4 multiply with the function

=24 20. here 6 into 4 is 24 and 5 into 4 is 20.

=24-20

= 4 is the answer for subtracting a numbers with exponents of 8'xx' 2^2 -6'xx' 2^2

Problem (i) 7'xx' 2^2-5'xx' 3

Solution:

Subtraction a number with different exponents of 2 and 3.

=7'xx' 2^2-5'xx' 3

=7'xx' 2^2-5'xx' 3 here 2^2 is 4 .

=7'xx' 4 5'xx' 3.

=28-15.

=13 is the answer for subtracting a numbers with different exponents of 7'xx' 2^2-5'xx' 3
