subject: Normalizing Data Statistics [print this page]

Normalizing data statistics very interesting it is deals with the data analysis and interpretation of data. Normalizing data statistics are related to groups of experiments. Collection of information that makes a form to giving the required information is called data. Data base defined as collection of data. In this article, we are going to discuss about normalizing data statistics with suitable example problems.

Example Problem for Normalizing Data Statistics:

1. Solve the normalizing statistics data analyzing using the given data base, find the mean, mode, median, and range of the given data.

6, 9, 2, 5, 9, 10, and 8

Solution:

Rearrange the data for ascending order.

2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 9, 10

Mean:

Mean is the sum of data divided by the number of data in the given data.

Mean = '("sum of data")/ ("number of data")'

Mean = '(2+5+6+8+9+9+10)/ (7)'

Mean = '49/7'

= 7

Mode:

Mode is the most common value in given data.

Most common value is 9.

Therefore, mode is 9.

Median:

Median is a middle number else we have two middle value means; we find the average of their two values is median. We need to find it, we should make to arranged in ascending order from the given data.

Median:

In this problem we have a middle number.

Therefore, Median is the middle number 8.

Range:

Range is difference between maximum and least values in the given data base.

Range = maximum value minimum value

= 10 - 2.

Range = 8.

More Example Problem for Normalizing Data Statistics:

2. Solve the normalizing statistics data analyzing using the given data base, find the mean, mode, median, and range of the given data.

344, 337, 344, 342, 339, 340, and 341

Solution:

Rearrange the data for ascending order.

337, 339, 340, 341, 342, 344, 344

Mean:

Mean is the sum of data divided by the number of data in the given data.

Mean = '("sum of data")/ ("number of data")'

Mean = '(337+339+340+341+342+344+344)/ (7)'

Mean = '2387/7'

= 341

Mode:

Mode is the most common value in given data.

Most common value is 344.

Therefore, mode is 344.

Median:

Median is a middle number else we have two middle value means; we find the average of their two values is median. We need to find it, we should make to arranged in ascending order from the given data.

Median:

In this problem we have a middle number.

Therefore, Median is the middle number 341.

Range:

Range is difference between maximum and least values in the given data base.

Range = maximum value minimum value

= 344 - 337.

Range = 7.

Data prediction is one of the major topics in mathematics. A data can be defined as a collection of information that can be represented with a quantitative attributes of a variables and set of variables in them. It is pieces of information which can be describe the senses and survey the data. It is a fact that can be processed the evidence, records and statistics. A prediction is a report about the method things will occur in the future. Data prediction means collecting data for future use.
