If someone talks about Mister Perfectionist of Bollywood, he definitely talks about Aamir Khan who is not only one of the top notch actors of Indian cinema but also producer and director too. Whatever Aamir does he does it with full passion and perfection that's why he earned title of Mr. Perfectionist.

He was born on 14th March 1965 as Aamir Hussain Khan to Muslim parents Tahir Hussain and Zeenat Hussain in Mumbai's Holy Family Hospital, Bandra. Aamir Khan's zodiac sign is Pisces and he stands 5 feet and 5 inches. His father was a film producer and uncle Nassir Hussain was an actor, director and film producer. Recently he made his television debut as an anchor with his social issue based talk show Satyamev Jayte.

At the age of 8, Aamir Khan started his acting innings as child artist in uncle Nassir Hussain's 1973 film Yaadon Ki Baaraat and then he acted in film Madhosh in 1974 which was also made by Nassir Hussain. After a long break of eleven years he made his acting debut as an adult actor in 1984 movie, Holi, directed by Ketan Mehta. In Holi, he was starred with acting legends such as Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Shreeram Lagoo, Deepti Naval and along with debutant actor Ashutosh Gowariker.

Aamir Khan portrayed his first noticeable lead role in 1988's romantic drama film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT) opposite actress Juhi Chawla in which she also played her first major role. QSQT was a commercial success and established Aamir Khan as a leading actor in Hindi film industry. It earned him title of chocolate hero and made him a youth icon. In 1989 he received his first National Award for Special Jury Award for critically acclaimed movie Raakh.

Later in the late '80s and early '90s Aamir appeared in highest grossing film of those years such as Dil (opposite Madhuri Dixit), Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahi (opposite Pooja Bhatt), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (opposite Aayesha Julka), Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (opposite Juhi Chawla) and Rangeela (opposite Urmila Matondkar).

Aamir Khan's first released film in new millennium (2000) was a box office disaster Mela in which he was starred along with his real-life younger brother Faisal Khan and Twinkle Khanna. But the next year was very lucky for Aamir Khan as he was cast in 2001's blockbuster commercially and critically successful movie Lagaan, directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar.

The year of 2006 was very lucky for Aamir Khan as his award-winning film Rang De Basanti was released in this year and it increased his popularity to a new high. Later Khan worked in many highly successful films such as Fanaa, Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, and 3 Idiots.
