Another long term expense is the fees. You will need to join a golf club if you want to play and the few ranges from 20 bucks and can go up to 1000 depending on the golf course. Then again you have to spend some after the game to participate in the events after the game where you can socialize and make the most from this game.
If you are a complete beginner, then you will have to spend some amount on taking golf lesson to at least achieve an average playing ability and compete with people at the golf course.
