In order for one cosmetic or skin care product to be called organic, it has to have ingredients that are organically grown. Meaning, the process of planting, growing and processing that particular ingredient should be at par with the various organic regulations enshrined by the United States Department of Agriculture.
There is a particular rigorous procedure that a product must undergo in order for it to be called an organic skin care product. The USDA uses a system of farming that is all-natural and prevents the contamination of the ingredients that will be used in skin care products. The soil must be fertilized without the use of chemicals and toxics such as pesticides and insecticides.
It is also highly important that the skin care product is safe from being mixed with other chemicals. Although there are companies that truly only use natural or organic materials in their products, there are some who still combine these natural or organic ingredients with chemicals and minerals that may not be exactly suitable to your skin type.
There have been many cases already wherein a customer or client preferred to use a certain cosmetic or skin care product, which they deemed natural or organic skin care product at first. However, after a few tries, some allergies and irritants occurred on their skin. The amount it took them to handle such allergic reactions is culpable to them spending a week on vacation. Can you imagine being absent from work and from your social life just because some allergies popped out on your skin? Surely, that would be a nightmare for everyone.
