Now the Haryana government is going to further enhance the educational facilities in Sonepat. The chief minister of Haryana Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda recently inaugurated the Rajiv Gandhi Education city. It will be an ultra modern education facility which will be spread over 2000 acres of land in Sonepat. The city will have many national and international universities in it.
In its first phase it will house 10 universities. The list of universities in first phase is

These are just starting and many of the universities are yet to come. After the education city is operational it will cater to 1.5 Lakh students of different educational interests in it. This city will be one of its kinds in India. The city along with providing education will also provide direct employment to more than 50 thousand people in it. This city will change the educational standards of Sonepat which is already a pioneer of education sector with many schools, colleges and many high class engineering institutes already operational in Sonepat.
This education city will improve also give a boost to already thriving real estate industry of Sonepat. After the city is operational more and more people will migrate to Sonepat which will increase demand for real estate Sonepat. Also this education city will be the reason for attraction of many industries to Sonepat.
The education city is strategically located at a very prime location on the GT Karnal road in Rai just a few kilometers from Delhi. There will be all the modern facilities required for education available in the city. The price of real estate in the vicinity of education city is already increasing significantly and it is becoming a highlight of every real estate project in Sonepat.
