subject: Keep Your Summer Figure Through The Holiday Season [print this page] It's that time of year againIt's that time of year again. The time when all the candy and treats from Halloween has officially derailed us from our diets and set us up to pack on some additional pounds over the upcoming holidays. Dont feed your inner Santa Claus til you have a belly like a bowl full of jelly. Avoid some common pitfalls that lead to packing on holiday pounds. In addition to exercise, here are five easy things you can do to fight off the festive fats and be ready to step back in to some Hapari or other great swimwear next summer.
1. Just Say No To Candy
Its easier to say no to every holiday treat than it is to say no to just some of them. So, when you pass by the bowl full of candy at the reception desk from Halloween through Valentines Dayjust say no. Pretend youre a vegetarian and its meat. You just dont eat it. Its easier to embrace this kind of blanket discipline.
2. Gotta Have A Dessert
Okay, but just have one bite. Likely, you just want to see what it tastes like, but generally speaking, youre not going to be eating dessert to get filled up on it like you do when you eat dinner. You just had dinner, remember? So go ahead and taste it, but eat one bite and be done. Dont eat dessert like you deserve it.
3. Set a Goal
Always set a goal for the amount of water you need to drink every day. Youre probably already aware of the many benefits of H20, but despite all of the facts, research, and awareness of the importance of water consumption, most people dont drink enough water. Keep reusable water bottles at your desk and in your car to make for an easy reach.
4. Chill Out
Dress slightly less warm than what youre comfortable with. Your body has to work extra hard during the cold months to regulate its core temperature. By all means wear a hat and gloves, but allow your body to be colder than necessary so you can burn a few extra calories.
5. Do Some Math
Add one thing to your daily diet that is good for you and subtract one thing that is bad for you. Whether it be drinking a protein shake, eating some probiotic yogurt, or even a banana, you will feel better and look better if you feed your body the good stuff and quit using your stomach as a garbage disposal. Delete at least one thing from your diet that you know is bad for you. Soda pop, french fries, ice creamwhatever, just pick one thing and give it up until mid-February.
Keep in mind that no matter how hard you might try, some women are just always going to have a full figure, and thats okay. Full figured women can still look great in fashionable plus size swimwear. To see some great looks, click here
