The 2013 Giant XTC Composite 29er 2 uses the identical race winning frame to that offered in 2012. The world of 29er mountain bikes have been around for a while, but its only in the last few years that engineers and riders have perfected the geometry and fine tuned the feel of these bikes. The growth and sales of 29er mountain bikes have been the driving force behind brands to expand their range. The reason why 29ers have experienced such growth is due to the many benefits of this wheel size; increased control, high top speed, reduced rolling angle over obstacles due to larger wheel size and controllable torque through the cranks, especially when climbing.
