subject: Approaching Women - Should You Always Be The One To Approach First? [print this page] Depending on whose opinion you are getting, you will get lots of differing view points on the topic of approaching a woman. Some guys will say that you always have to be the one that makes the approach and some will say that is not the case. Then, there are those guys who like to make the claim that they always get approached by women so that they never have to do it themselves. Those are some pretty funny claims if you ask me. So, what's the truth about approaching a woman? Should you always be the one who makes the first move?
In my opinion, no. You don't always have to be the one that makes the first move. I do think that you should always be prepared to be the one that makes the initial move, though. There are going to be times when a woman walks over to you and wants to get to know you. However, counting on that happening all of the time is kind of like hoping that luck is always on your side. I'm not big on the idea of just hoping that luck is on my side, I'd rather create some of that luck by taking action.
The dating game is much different now as compared to years ago.
More and more women take action themselves when they see a guy they are attracted to or a guy who seems like someone that they want to get to know. That is definitely a good thing. However, you don't want to take the lazy route and expect that you are going to be able to find some magical way to get women to approach you all of the time. Of course, there are things that you can do that are going to make you a little more appealing and that is going to raise the likelihood that you will get some unsolicited approaches by women.
Why You Have to Be Prepared to Make the Approach -
Let's say that you see a woman you are totally attracted to, as in, she looks exactly like you would want your girlfriend to look. At the same time, let's assume that you are one of those guys who is trying to bypass the need to approach a woman and you are hoping that she walks over to you. The obvious question should be, what if she doesn't? What are you going to do then?
If you are prepared to make the first move and you have developed the skills to create an instant sense of rapport with a woman, you'll be able to walk on over to her and have a chance of being able to get a date. If you have taken the lazy route and relied on the pure chance that she is going to be the one that walks over to you, you are pretty much out of luck if she doesn't. That's why you still have to develop that skill even if there are going to be times when you don't have to make the first move.
