Solve Examples to Find the Value of Expressions in Algerba :

Ex:1 Evaluate algebra value of expression using rules, 6X + 6 + 7Y + 7X - 2Y - 12 when X = 1 and Y = 2

Sol:Step1

Given 6X + 6 + 7Y + 7X - 2Y - 12

Step 2: Apply X=1 and Y=2 value in algebra expression

6(1) + 6 + 7(2) + 7(1) - 2(2) -12

Step 3: Reduce exponents in algebra expression. So, we can get

6 + 6 + 14 + 7 - 4 - 12

Step 4: To perform addition operation in order from left to right. So, we can get

(6 + 6 + 14 + 7)- (4 + 12)

(12 + 21) - 16

33 - 16

Step 5: Achieve subtraction operation in order from left to right. So, we get

33 - 16

Ex :2 Evaluate algebra value of expression using rule, 5p - 6 + 3q + 6p - 2q - 2 when p = 2 and q = 1

Sol:Step 1

Given 5p - 6 + 3q + 6p- 2q - 2

Step2: Apply p=2 and q=1 value in algebra expression

5(2) - 6 + 3(1) + 6(2) - 2(1) - 2

Step 3: Reduce exponents in algebra expression. So, we can get

10 - 6 + 3 + 12 - 2 - 2

Step 4: To perform addition operation in order from left to right. So, we can get

(10+3+12) - (6+2+2)

(13+12) - (6+2+2)

25 - 10

Step 5: Achieve subtraction operation in order from left to right. So, we get

25 - 10
