Students with learning disabilities need special attention and amicable learning experience. Unlike other students, they may have different needs that other people may find difficult to provide or to comprehend. Although these students do not act like others of their age, it does not mean that they do not have the right to education. Education is for all it does not discriminate. It doesnt care whether you are rich, poor, smart, or disabled. If these principles are prioritized, chances are, special students would not have hard time learning.

Yul Whitney firmly believes that everyone should have an access to quality education. His vocation is to help improve the special education programs in California. He started his campaign for the good of educational system when he began his career as program specialist. More than 20 years ago, he became the Program Specialist and School Psychologist of Mococ County Office of Education. He helped in improving the offices general education and special education programs.

After working at Mococ, he became the Director of Special Education of Coalinga-Huron Unified School District. His responsibilities include supervising and managing the districts special education teaching staff, psychologists, nurses, and even clerical employees. This further enhanced his skills and improved his understanding of the educational system in California, most especially when it comes to special education. Furthermore, his commitment in helping students with learning disabilities even furthered.

Yul Whitney likewise became the Program Specialist of Palm Springs Unified School District. During his time in Palm Springs, he focused in managing 14 elementary schools and in making plans to improve the districts special education program. The responsibilities he held while in Palm Springs enabled him to prove his dedication towards quality education for special students.

Currently, he serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Palo Verde Unified School District. For more than 10 years, he has been active in doing his duties in Palo Verde. Although his job as an assistant superintendent is no easy task, he proved that he can take any challenge just to make sure that all students have access to quality education.
