As a Psychology graduate, he pushed himself to the limits in order to help his community in a way or two. He studied Psychology during his college years, and continued learning this discipline when he took up his Masters degree. In order to fully master the craft, he took up Education for his Doctorate degree. His impressive educational background is among the reasons why he is considered as one of the trailblazers in Californias education sector.
He started his career in the education sector when he got employed by the Mococ County Office of Education 20 years ago. He served there as the offices Program Specialist and Psychologist. He paved the way for the office to improve its general and special education curricula. He also assisted in implementation of special education programs to ensure that all students with learning disabilities are spared from discrimination.
Because of his outstanding performance in Mococ, he was offered the Director of Special Education position by the Coalinga-Huron Unified School District. Through his efforts, he was able to help the district to improve its programs for students with learning disabilities. He did this by managing and supervising the districts employees, including special education teachers, psychologists, nurses, and non-teaching personnel.
Yul Whitney also shared his expertise with Palm Springs Unified District School where he became its program specialist. While with the said school district, he was appointed to manage 14 elementary schools. He also assisted in improving the districts programs for general education and special education.
He is currently working at Palo Verde Unified District School as its Assistant Superintendent. He has been with Palo Verde for the last 10 years. His commitment in helping the district has led him to achieving different successes. Today, he is one of the key people in Palo Verde.
