Milk-Burfi:

Ingredients:

5 measuring cups, mawa powder or any milk powder

375g. butter

1 cup milk

11/4 and cup sugar

1 cup almond powder

1 tablespoon cardamom (Poweder)

2 teaspoons nutmeg (Powder)

A pinch of salt

1 tsp. rose essence (optional)

Method:

Sieve the milk powder to remove lumps

Put heavy base pan on medium heat. Melt butter, add milk followed by sugar.

Stir it regularly, wait till it boil.

Cook it for more 2 to 3 minutes on low flame and then add milk powder.

Stir it well, add cardamom powder in the batter. The batter should be a thick and it should not stick to the pan. Remove it from the flame when bubble appears.

Mix almond powder, salt and rose essence.

Pour into a tray and allow it to set. Decorate it with almonds

Slice it into pieces and serve

Sooji Halwa:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup sooji (semolina flour)

1/4 cup ghee

1/3 cup sugar

1 1/2cup water

Pinch of cardamom powder

1 tablespoon sliced almonds for garnishing

Method:

1.Boil the water with sugar, and cardamom powder in a pan over low medium heat. Bring to a boil and Set aside.

2.Melt the butter in a frying pan on medium heat.

3.Add sooji and roast to golden brown color; stirring constantly this will take about 5 to 8 minutes. Add water and sugar slowly in a roasted suji

4.cook it on a low flame for 2-3 minutes

5.Sooji will absorb the water,

6.Garnish it with almonds.
