subject: Ipad 4 Unveiled Unexpectedly, Leaving The New Ipad Out Of Fashion [print this page]

What is the big surprise of Apples new product conference for October? Obviously, it is the iPad 4. According to the routine of Apple, the iPad 4 would not out till early of next year after the New iPad was released only 7 months ago. The birth of fourth-generation iPad of course means the end of the New iPad, which is doomed to be a short-life device. Apple will stop offering the New iPad and only refurbished versions are available.

So what prompts Apple to let out the iPad 4 at no notice and in such a rush? The iPad 4 is not only meant to fix the issues of New iPad, such as the heating up and the lame battery life but also meant to upgrade the hard ware of iPad 3, the processor in particular and to accelerate the application of Lightning on the iOS devices. There is no doubt that we will see the Lighting spread to all the future iOS devices and the 30-pin port will soon become a history.

This new-gen iPad is more like a iPad 3 upgraded version than a totally fresh iPad since they share so many similarities in hard ware, such as the 9.7-inch display with the resolution of 2048*1536, 5MP rear camera and 1GB of RAM. So just in design, there is no major difference to distinguish these two. Most of the iPad cases are also compatible with this iPad 4. So the iPad accessories makers have missed a great chances, not able to bring out the iPad 4 cases in time.

The iPad 4 with Retina display differs from iPad 5 majorly in innards. iPad 4 is endowed with an A6X processor, twice faster than its predecessors. Meanwhile, the front-facing camera has been elevated to 720p. Apart from the continual support of LTE network, iPad 4 also sports the Lightning port. It will last as long as 10 hours as the iPad 3. As for the pricing, iPad 4 starts from $499 for a base model of WIFI 16GB and bumps to $629 with the addition of 4G module inside. Now Apple has offered two more choices for the iPad, and which one do you prefer?
